The U Career Success Center uses Handshake as a career platform to make the most critical aspects of finding a job simple. Here is some important information, instructions, and tips for setting yourself up for success on Handshake.
If it's your first time logging in you will need to complete a career interest survey.
Note: Postdoc Career Coaching Appointments have moved from Handshake to a new appointments platform: Calendly, which is simple and easy.

Search Jobs and Contacts
Handshake has a Jobs tab, but their CareerShift resource is even better for advanced-degree seekers. It can search a specific city or state, anywhere in the United States, or internationally, and it gets better results than a free search engine.
The Contact section helps you see directory information for professionals.

Join Events
You can find the most up-to-date postdoc related events on our OPA website’s calendar page. We also have a Video Library available to postdocs currently working at the University of Utah. This library contains several recorded workshops on various professionalization-related topics.
You are also welcome to join career events campus-wide, in particular career fairs, employer meetups and panels, and other career-prep workshops and events. Simply check Handshake's Events tab and filter by Category.
