Postdoctoral Travel Awards Policy
The Postdoctoral Travel Assistance Awards, provided by the Graduate School and the Office of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs, aim to support postdoctoral researchers in showcasing their research and creative achievements to the wider academic community. Presenting research or creative work as a postdoc offers valuable practical experience in preparing and delivering effective presentations, helping to develop broader skills. Furthermore, attending conferences creates networking opportunities, potentially leading to future research, creative collaborations, and employment prospects.
Requests are considered up to a maximum of $500. Funding is granted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. Postdocs are only allowed one travel award per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Only complete applications will be considered, so please contact the Office of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs with any questions. Complete applications need to be forwarded to the verifications email shown at the end of the application process, or you may forward it to Sabrina Smith at sabrina.d.smith@utah.edu.
