UPDA Events
Types of Events
The UPDA holds professional development, social, and other advocacy events to support and promote postdoc engagement at the university.
For professional development events, we organize faculty/staff panelists to discuss the processes of academic and industry job hirings, interviews and negotiations, as well as website design, CV/Resume workshops, etc.
For social events, we organize hikes, picnics, BBQs, snowshoeing, brewery visits, etc., depending on the season.

UPDA Postdoc Town Hall - Pre-Questionnaire
The UPDA is preparing a Postdocs Town Hall for April 2026, and we’re gathering input
to ensure the conversation reflects what matters most to you. This brief, anonymous
questionnaire helps us understand your experiences, needs, and priorities as a postdoc.
The Town Hall will be organized by postdocs, creating a dedicated space for open discussion.
Your feedback directly shapes the agenda and strengthens support, resources and community
for postdocs across campus. Thank you for taking a moment to share your perspective.
